An Appeal to Reason, by Nigel Lawson

An Appeal to Reason: A Cool Look at Global Warming, by Nigel Lawson. This is a short but powerful and well-documented work on global warming. What if the environmentalists are right and the temperature of the planet is going to go up five degrees in the next century (in spite of the fact that it has actually been cooling for the last six years)? As Nigel Lawson explains the consequences would actually be more positive than negative. It would mean a better environment for plants and agriculture, more water in the rivers, more comfortable living conditions in the northern latitudes. The only drawback is the possible rise in sea-levels which Mr. Lawson proposes can be handled by reasonable means. Mr. Lawson reveals what we as conservatives and as industrial nations should be doing with regard to global warming (and it isn't nothing). An Appeal to Reason is a fresh and refreshing look at this controversial topic.
