Pandemonium in 2012, by Lee Cross. Political thriller featuring the havoc caused by a fresh liberal administration elected in 2008. In an accident the president dies and the vice-president soon succumbs to disease, which leaves a loose cannon in the form of Stuart Ramsey, by constitutional succession, as president. He rolls in with great changes that the people find popular, but the special interests hate. Soon the politicos, lobbyists, and press are out to destroy him. Can he survive? Will he be able to pull the country back from the edge of self-destruction to which it has been led?
