Pick of the Week: What Price Paradise, by Phillip Ellis Jackson and John William Galt. In the claustrophobic world of the 26th century the world is over-run by a silicon ash that is deadly to breathe. The only way to get rid of it is to send a man back in time to tinker with the past. He must save the life of a famous scientist who might have been able to stop the ash. (She was senselessly murdered in a break-in.) But others believe that to change the past at all could bring about even greater problems. They send their own agent to make sure history is not changed. Dramatic, fun, fast paced, thought provoking, an enjoyable read.
