A Knight On Long Island: Medieval justice arrives at the land of bankruptcy and depression
By Tom Humphrey
Sir Bill, a medieval knight of the 14th century, awakens to find himself on Long Island in the 21st century. It is no surprise that the government has gone bankrupt. The economy is depressed. Terror rules the streets and the countryside. Trugs (traveling muggers), rippers (rip-off politicians), and barbs (barbarians from the City).
Welfare no longer exists in this alien and turbulent world. No one can afford to pay for it. Faced with a strange new world, a bewildered Sir Bill does his best to meet the modern challenges.
This amazing tale is more than allegory, more than fantasy, more than ironic diversion. It is an entertaining romp. A fun read.
